Sr. Application Engineer – Appian Platform 

As a Sr. Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding our customers' unique challenges and tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs. Collaborating closely with the Delivery teams, you will play a pivotal role in designing, managing, and implementing applications that deliver the highest quality experience to our customers using the Appian platform.


Responsibilities

  • Support the design or implementation of technology solutions across client-facing domains.
  • Collaborate with Tech Leads to capture requirements and translate our client’s business needs into innovative solutions to accelerate their growth and capacity.
  • Contribute to the implementation of client technology platforms, especially across Insurance and InsurTech.
  • Help translate business requirements into practical and implementable technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with experienced architects, consultants and delivery teams across client engagements.
  • Develop hands-on experience with leading vendor platforms and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable assets, accelerators and best practices within the Insurance Division.

 Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, along with 3+ years' experience in Software Development and 2+ years' experience delivering custom solutions with the Appian platform.
  • Recent professional experience in a modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, C++, JavaScript, SQL,    
  • Ability to strategically problem solve and think outside of the box
  • Consultative Application Engineering experience in relevant domains (Insurance, Financial Services, Consulting) with strong presentation skills.

Other Info 

  • This position may require up to 50% domestic travel (to client sites) for the first 5-6 months, but otherwise remote outside of client travel.
  • Team members must be able to accommodate a working schedule of 8:30am - 5:30p EST Monday through Friday.

Salary Information

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $85,000 to $110,000 subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, candidates will be eligible for a variable bonus.
