Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join our organization’s security architecture team in a dynamic hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in architecting and securing cloud-based infrastructures, with a strong command of AWS services and Azure Architecture, and hands-on proficiency with Wiz, Aqua, and Okta platforms. AWS certifications are highly advantageous for this role, demonstrating advanced understanding and commitment to cloud security excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust security architectures within AWS environments, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Deploy and manage cloud security tools, especially leveraging Wiz and Aqua, to protect workloads across diverse AWS landscapes.

  • Architect and optimise identity and access management solutions using Okta, ensuring secure authentication, authorisation, and user lifecycle management within AWS.

  • Perform detailed risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend actionable mitigation strategies for AWS platforms.

  • Develop, enforce, and regularly update security policies, standards, and best practices tailored to AWS environments.

  • Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and application teams to embed security throughout the entire AWS development lifecycle.

  • Lead incident response efforts, providing expert guidance for security investigations and recovery within AWS.

  • Continuously monitor AWS threats, emerging technologies, and compliance requirements to ensure proactive security improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in AWS security architecture and cloud security operations.

  • Demonstrated expertise with Wiz and Aqua Security for cloud and container protection.

  • Advanced skills in Okta for identity and access management integration with AWS.

  • Professional AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or similar are highly beneficial.

  • Solid grasp of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud security best practices.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to mentor junior staff and lead technical initiatives.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 145,300.00 to 232,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
