Compensation

The compensation target for this role is: $114,800 - $135,000

Job Summary

Purple is seeking a Senior Digital Product Designer to join our team. As a Senior Digital Product Designer at Purple you will work collaboratively with other designers, product managers, site merchandising and project managers on a variety of projects to help elevate the overall customer journey.
You'll engage across all stages of a project, concepting, prototyping, visual design, information design and user research. You’ll be responsible for the design solutions that shape our customer experiences.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for digital products, from initial concept to final implementation
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the digital design team, focused on functional, human centered, conceptual and beautiful user experiences
  • Develop user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and interaction concepts to cross functional partners, stakeholders and leadership
  • Create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and enhance the user experience
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on designs
  • Refine designs to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to define product requirements and ensure the feasibility of design solutions
  • Propose solutions in response to business requirements and audience research
  • Contribute to product design standards documentation and best practices
  • Evolve and maintain our digital design system
  • Support enhancements to online experiences, promotions, project updates and routine maintenance
     

Qualifications:

  • A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a positive attitude
  • Strong human-centered visual design skills: you are able to work at the intersection of brand and product design
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying data-driven insights to inform design decisions
  • Experience working with design systems
  • Expertise in user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design
  • Strong attention to detail and design accuracy
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and mobile-first design principles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Adobe CC Suite and Figma 
     

Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years of digital brand-focused design experience (DTC or ecommerce experience is a plus!)
  • A portfolio website featuring examples of web design, graphic design or interactive design
