Location: Los Angeles, CA (Remote with in-person client meetings and networking events)

Overview
8020 Consulting is seeking an accomplished and results-oriented Client Services Sr. Director to join our growing business development team. This individual will be responsible for cultivating client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the effective deployment of our finance and accounting consulting professionals.
This is a high-impact, client-facing sales role ideal for someone with a strong track record of selling to senior finance leaders, a robust local network, and a passion for building long-term, partnerships. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on closer—motivated, proactive, and skilled at navigating complex sales cycles. 

Responsibilities 

Revenue Growth & Business Development 
• Identify and close new business opportunities with target clients in finance and accounting
• Achieve and exceed sales targets through a strategic, consultative sales approach
• Deliver tailored solutions that address the needs of CFOs and senior executives 

Client Relationship Management 
• Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships
• Understand evolving client needs and deliver customized consulting solutions
• Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the lifecycle of engagements

Consultant Relationship Management 
• Act as a strategic partner to consultants by aligning their skills and goals with impactful client opportunities
• Ensure successful project delivery by aligning the right talent with the right opportunity
• Maintain visibility into consultant availability and project pipeline

Networking & Market Presence 
• Leverage an established network of finance and accounting professionals in the Los Angeles Metro area
• Attend in-person and virtual networking events to enhance visibility and create new opportunities
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitive landscape

Client Satisfaction & Retention 
• Monitor client satisfaction and resolve issues proactively
• Utilize sales best practices and objection-handling strategies to secure repeat business
• Maintain high levels of service and ensure consistent client engagement

Requirements 

Experience 
• Minimum 8 years of successful sales experience with a focus on professional services or consulting
• Demonstrated ability to sell to CFOs, Controllers, and finance executives
• Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and ability to create and manage new client opportunities and ongoing client engagements.

Skills
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Sales loft, Zoominfo, etc.)
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

Additional Requirements
• Established professional network in the Los Angeles market
• Experience coordinating the deployment of professional talent to client engagements, hands on experience within Finance and or accounting is strongly preferred
