As a Sr Director of Data Engineering and Analytics within our organization, you will lead a multidisciplinary team encompassing data engineers, quality assurance specialists, and machine learning engineers. Leveraging your expertise in tools such as Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran, you will architect and oversee the development of robust data pipelines and analytics solutions. Your role will be pivotal in driving the organization's data strategy, ensuring data integrity, and delivering actionable insights to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of data engineers, quality assurance specialists, and machine learning engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Provide strategic direction, set clear objectives, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
- Establish performance metrics, conduct regular evaluations, and support the professional growth and development of team members.
Data Engineering and Pipeline Development:
- Architect, design, and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran, ensuring the reliability and integrity of data across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, define data models, and implement solutions to support analytical and operational needs.
- Continuously optimize and automate data processes to enhance performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Quality Assurance and Data Governance:
- Define and implement data quality standards, processes, and tools to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data assets.
- Establish data governance policies and procedures, collaborating with internal stakeholders and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks.
Machine Learning Engineering:
- Oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms, working closely with machine learning engineers to drive innovation and deliver business value.
- Provide guidance on best practices for data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation, ensuring the quality and reliability of machine learning solutions.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders across the organization, including data analysts, data scientists, product managers, and executives, to understand business requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, presenting complex concepts and findings in a clear and compelling manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and technologies, particularly Snowflake, with experience in architecting and implementing data pipelines.
- Strong expertise in data transformation tools such as dbt (Data Build Tool) for modeling and structuring data.
- Experience with data integration platforms like Fivetran for automating data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques, with experience in deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Experience working in agile development methodologies and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, driving innovation and delivering results.
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $205,400 -- $397,200 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.
CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
