As the Senior Director, Product Management, Data Flow you will lead the Product Management team that is building and driving our strategy for the Data Flow Product that we actively build and support. You will have a keen insight on market trends in the streaming market along with unique opportunities to differentiate Cloudera in the marketplace. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the base revenue stream for Cloudera. You will be a practical leader that understands the streaming market dynamics, can influence a strategy on how we can compete holistically as a platform, and can understand and prioritize what we need to do today to keep our customers successful while identifying opportunities for growth including but not limited to incorporating and monetizing new streaming technology as well. 

Cloudera Streams Messaging, Flow & Edge Management is powered by technologies such as Apache Kafka, Flink, NiFi and MiNiF

As a Sr.Director, Product Management you will:

  • Drive the forward strategy and adoption of next-generation Data Streaming technology.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to guide technical decisions on streaming development and strategy.

  • Foster teamwork across product teams, driving collaboration and reducing redundant efforts.

  • Work with downstream Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery of our data streaming products.

  • Navigate and lead in a matrixed environment, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.

  • Champion customer needs and collaborate with other departments to address recurring issues and drive product improvements.

  • Lead a high-performing team with responsibilities including hiring, compensation, performance management, budgets, and planning.

  • Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive workplace that fosters growth, innovation, and teamwork.

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and/or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of progressive Product Management experience.

  • 5+ years of experience leading Product Management teams.

  • In-depth knowledge of product management best practices, tools, and technologies.

  • Superior people management and development with a focus on continual learning.

  • Ability to form strong cross-functional relationships and influence others to drive to a common goal, including our customer base.

  • Executive presence. Comfort with ambiguity and C-level communication.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills.

  • Curiosity and drive, an innovative mindset.

  • Passion and experience for identifying business improvement opportunities and driving organizational change.

  • Ability to travel frequently and internationally.

 

You may also have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Streaming Technology like NiFi, Flink, Kafka or Pulsar and working with open source technologies/communities

  • Experience with IoT architectures and edge data collection is a plus
