Sr. Director Strategic Planning & Execution, Life Science and Growth Verticals
You will report directly to our Chief Strategy Officer for HPA and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact strategic direction, alignment, execution, performance monitoring, risk management, long-term sustainability, performance improvement, employee development, and competitive advantage of HPA in high growth segments: Life Science, Power and Utilities markets. You will play a critical role in ensuring that strategic plans are not only formulated but effectively implemented to drive the organization's success and long-term growth.

ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Strategic Planning
- Lead Annual Strategic Planning Process for assigned segment.
- constructively challenge the organization to refine its “where to play” and “how to win” choices to drive growth, improve profitability and sustain competitive advantage.
- support execution of strategic goals through Honeywell’s management operating systems (HOS Gold).
- Develop strategic growth and business development plans with a fact-based approach to competitive analysis, customer segmentation, market attractiveness and product positioning, financial analysis, external and execution risks, potential impact and scenario planning, resource requirements, and regional and global pricing guidelines.
Driving growth in the Life Science and Power & Utilities segment markets is central to Honeywell’s strategy. Identify growth and competitive advantage opportunities by:
- Identify technology trends including Break Through Technology Initiatives (BTI) for net-new opportunities for Honeywell
- Identify portfolio integration and expansion opportunities
- business model evolution (channels and strategic partnerships)
- consumer experience value chain and/or related strategic marketing levers.
Competitive Analysis
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of current and potential competitors to identify opportunities and threats in every global markets
- Develop a consolidated view of the market environment and competitive structures to help formulate global growth strategies that deliver quantifiable results.
Partner with Corporate Development team to:
- focus on analytics and insights in aligning Honeywell strategies with investment and operational plans.
- identify and cultivate potential M&A candidates. Provide assessment and thought leadership on the strategic rationale, synergy potential and key risks to enable the executive team to make well-informed inorganic investment decisions.
- participate in identifying potential business development opportunities as well as support Honeywell Operating Systems (HOS Gold) with respective business unit counterparts

QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic planning, strategy execution, business development, or related roles.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful strategic plans.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to drive successful execution of strategic plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
