Job Purpose

The Senior FP&A Analyst supports finance practices and objectives that drive a high performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment and ethics. This position will report to Director FP&A AEC and be part of a team chartered to provide cutting edge financial analysis to a growing business.

  • Performing division-wide consolidated financial analysis and reporting
  • Planning and forecasting process control; includes financial models, templates, timelines, definition and training
  • Prepare monthly / quarterly / annual financial reports and analytics for leadership team presentations on the performance of the company and operating business unit segments on a historical and forward-looking basis to include: revenue and income variance analyses, business segment / product line profitability measures, operating expense analyses, return on invested capital and cash flow
  • Assist in the development and coordination of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process.
  • Completes special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests related to finance and budgeting activities as required by senior management

Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications/Characteristics

  • Exposure to, and understanding of, aerospace & defense / manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of defense government compliance regulations a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal daily supervision
  • Experience driving technical financial processes, building financial models and influencing business decisions is preferred. Ability to form collaborative partnerships. Demonstrated success with diverse teams in a dynamic multi-national environment is a differentiator
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to research and identify problems, develop proposals, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others
  • Calculation and thorough analysis of financial performance metrics
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to drive decisions and execute effectively both long and short term projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exercise a high level of confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required, MBA desired
  • 6+ years financial experience; manufacturing environment preferred
  • Direct financial planning & analysis (FP&A) experience preferred

 

Working Conditions

Office environment, duties performed indoors, moderate to quiet noise and comfortable temperatures. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental condition levels. Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations require. Some may be able to do part of their work remotely. Travel may be required


Physical requirements

Occasionally positions self to move an office item >10 lbs.

Frequently move about the production floor and office area to attend meetings or trainings

Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time

Frequently operates a computer, enters data into systems, verifies information, etc…
