Job Summary:

The Senior HR Training Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of employee training and development programs across the organization. This role involves working closely with leadership and department managers to identify skill gaps and create tailored training solutions to enhance employee performance, engagement, and overall organizational success.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop comprehensive training plans and materials that align with the organization's goals, culture, and needs.
  • Design and implement programs focused on leadership development, employee skills, compliance, and other essential areas.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences through various formats, including in-person, virtual, and e-learning platforms.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at various levels, from entry-level to executive leadership.
  • Facilitate leadership and team-building sessions aimed at improving communication, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to managers and employees to ensure the application of new skills in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to identify areas for improvement and skill gaps within the workforce.
  • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and interviews to assess employee training needs.
  • Analyze performance data and employee feedback to adjust training programs accordingly.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and other evaluative tools.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the progress of training initiatives and their impact on organizational performance.
  • Continuously refine and improve training programs based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s overall learning and development strategy.
  • Stay current with trends in adult learning, training technologies, and industry best practices to ensure the training programs are modern and impactful.
  • Manage the learning management system (LMS) and ensure the appropriate tracking of employee development progress.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align training programs with business objectives.
  • Act as a strategic partner to HR teams, managers, and other departments to ensure a holistic approach to employee development.
  • Ensure that training programs meet legal, regulatory, and organizational compliance standards.
  • Oversee certification programs and ensure that employees meet required qualifications and certifications for their roles.
  • Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in HR training and development, with a proven track record of successfully designing and delivering training programs in a corporate setting.
  • Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across different organizational levels.
  • Experience with talent management and leadership development, preferred.
  • Familiarity with various HR technologies and software, preferred.
  • Advanced certifications in training and development or HR-related fields, preferred.

 

Working Conditions

  1. Indoor, Office environment.
  2. Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
  3. Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  4. Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
  5. This position may involve travel for on-site training, conferences, or events.
