The Senior Analyst role is responsible for supporting the strategic oversight, user experience, and governance of enterprise collaboration and records management applications across the organization with a focus on SharePoint and One Drive. This role ensures that platforms such as Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tools) are intuitive, compliant, secure, and aligned with business needs in a regulated energy industry environment.
The role bridges business, technology, and information governance, combining strong stakeholder communication skills with hands-on technical understanding. The successful candidate will partner closely with IT, Legal, Compliance, Security, and business units to drive adoption, resolve issues, and continuously improve the user experience while maintaining robust governance and records management controls.
Essential Functions:

Platform Governance & Records Management

  • Lead governance frameworks for the Microsoft 365 content management platforms, ensuring compliance with records retention, legal hold, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

  • Define and maintain policies, standards, and best practices for information lifecycle management across SharePoint, OneDrive, and related Microsoft 365 tools.

  • Partner with Legal, ITS, Compliance, and Records Management teams to ensure defensible, auditable information practices.

User Experience & Adoption

  • Support the end-to-end user experience for the Microsoft 365 records platforms, balancing usability with governance and risk management.

  • Act as the business representative for platform enhancements, roadmap planning, and prioritization based on user feedback and organizational needs.

  • Develop and oversee change management, communications, and training strategies to drive adoption and effective use of tools.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and business stakeholders on collaboration and records management capabilities.

  • Translate technical concepts into clear, business-focused communications for non-technical audiences.

Technical Oversight & Troubleshooting

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, integrations, permissions models, and search.

  • Partner with IT to troubleshoot complex user and system issues, acting as an escalation point for business-critical problems.

  • Contribute to configuration decisions, testing, and rollout of new features or platform changes.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

  • Monitor platform usage, performance, and risk indicators to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Stay current on Microsoft 365 roadmap changes, industry best practices, and emerging risks impacting information governance in the energy sector.

  • Support audits, assessments, and legal inquiries related to records and information management.

Characteristics & Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Management, or equivalent work experience

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in information governance, records management, digital workplace, or enterprise application management

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing Microsoft 365 tools, particularly SharePoint and OneDrive or similar cloud based technologies, in a large, regulated organization

  • Strong understanding of records management principles, information lifecycle management, and compliance requirements

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and work effectively with technical teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels

  • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail

  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis

Preferred:

  • Experience in the energy, utilities, or other highly regulated industries

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, retention labels, eDiscovery, and data loss prevention concepts

  • Experience leading change management and user adoption initiatives

  • Certifications in Microsoft 365, information governance, or project management (e.g., PMP, IGP, Microsoft certifications)

  • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions

  • Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
