Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Liquidity Management team at Citizens. This strategic role will be responsible for building, launching, and overseeing a portfolio of sophisticated liquidity products including structured deposits, on-balance and off-balance sheet solutions, breakable certificates of deposit, variable rate notes, and cash optimization strategies. The ideal candidate will combine deep product expertise with strong project management capabilities to drive innovation in our liquidity management offerings while ensuring seamless integration with our securities and money desk operations.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Management

  • Design, develop, and manage structured deposit products tailored to corporate and institutional client needs, including customized term structures, rate mechanisms, and embedded optionality

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet liquidity solutions, ensuring optimal capital efficiency and regulatory compliance

  • Build and maintain breakable CD products with flexible early withdrawal features, managing pricing models and break fee structures

  • Develop variable rate note offerings with dynamic pricing mechanisms tied to market indices and credit spreads

  • Create and implement cash pooling and netting strategies to optimize client liquidity positions across multiple accounts, entities, and jurisdictions

  • Maintain product documentation including term sheets, pricing frameworks, risk parameters, and operational procedures

Strategic Research & Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive market research on emerging liquidity management trends, competitor offerings, and client needs across corporate, institutional, and wholesale segments

  • Analyze the interaction between liquidity products and securities operations, identifying opportunities for cross-desk collaboration and product bundling

  • Research and evaluate money desk activities to enhance treasury and liquidity strategies, including repo markets, money market funds, and short-term investment vehicles

  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting liquidity management (LCR, NSFR, Basel III/IV) and adapt product offerings accordingly

  • Develop business cases for new product initiatives including revenue projections, capital requirements, and risk assessments

Project Management & Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end project management for new product launches, from concept development through implementation and post-launch optimization

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Treasury, Risk Management, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Sales

  • Develop detailed project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and timelines

  • Manage stakeholder communications and executive reporting throughout the product development lifecycle

  • Oversee system implementations and technology integrations required for product processing and client servicing

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success and profitability

Ongoing Product Management

  • Monitor product performance metrics including volumes, profitability, client adoption, and competitive positioning

  • Conduct regular product reviews and implement enhancements based on client feedback, market conditions, and business performance

  • Manage pricing strategies in collaboration with Treasury and Finance to ensure appropriate risk-adjusted returns

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key clients to gather insights and address product-related issues

  • Develop and deliver product training programs for relationship managers, sales teams, and operations staff

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the securities desk and money market operations to create integrated liquidity and investment solutions

  • Work closely with Treasury on balance sheet optimization, funding strategies, and asset-liability management

  • Collaborate with Risk Management on product structure, limit frameworks, and stress testing scenarios

  • Coordinate with Technology teams on system capabilities, API integrations, and digital delivery channels

  • Support Sales and Relationship Management teams with client presentations, proposals, and solution design

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $163,000  - $175,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience
