Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance activities and ensure timely completion of regulatory filings for NERC-registered projects.
- Collaborate with the NERC Implementation team during the construction phase to complete project registration with applicable entities.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with internal teams, external stakeholders, clients, EPC contractors, and engineering teams. Resolve issues across teams and maintain professional communication with high-level stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support during regulatory audits for the Compliance & Risk team and clients.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Compliance Analysts and managers, setting direction and driving performance across the Compliance Operations team.
- Manage workflow, provide career coaching, training, and administer company policies.
- Develop compensation plans and support professional growth through mentoring and collaboration.
- Develop, resource and manage large scope and long-term projects, making resource, scope, and delivery tradeoffs as necessary. Review work products and progress to ensure success.
- Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Partner with senior managers to drive cross-functional improvement initiatives and optimize business processes. Support implementation of strategic directions within the team and propose updates to division policies. Provide support for business development leads to help achieve company goals.

Required Qualification & Education:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the renewable energy industry in roles such as asset management, business management, contract management, compliance, or operations.
- 4+ years of work experience specifically in NERC Compliance.
- 2–4 years of management experience, including team leadership and oversight.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years actively managing/supporting a Generator Owner compliance program
- Working knowledge of photovoltaic system design, wind or battery storage operations and management
- Regulatory audit experience
- Successful delivery of large cross functional projects
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Experience with regulatory compliance, NERC, FERC, or other reporting obligations for operating projects
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information for diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; able to liaise professionally with clients and internal teams on significant issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work products.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and execute large volumes of ongoing compliance obligations.
- Ability to set direction and lead large cross-functional teams while collaborating effectively as part of a broader team.
- Proven leadership experience, including personnel management, coaching, and mentoring.
- Demonstrated success in root cause analysis, process improvement, and strategic thinking to drive organizational goals.
- Skilled in documentation and presentation for working teams and senior-level stakeholders, including executives and boards of directors.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Passion to learn within a growth-stage company within the renewable energy space
- Additional knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, and other ISO/RTO markets, State Public Utilities Commissions, and IA/PAA operational requirements desirable
Required Software Knowledge
- Expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF toolsets
The current salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other relevant factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
