Senior Manager, Performance Marketing

Title: Senior Manager, Performance Marketing

Reports To: Senior Director, Demand Generation

Location: Draper, UT or Remote

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Performance Marketing to own and build Jump's paid and organic performance engine from the ground up: the durable, evergreen pipeline machine behind our growth. You'll own strategy and hands-on execution across paid search, paid social, display, and video, plus SEO, AI-driven visibility (AEO/GEO), and conversion optimization. This is a player-coach role: you'll be in the accounts and analytics yourself, direct agency and contractor resources, and build the team as spend scales. You'll balance demand capture with demand creation, winning both the ground war (search, landing pages, CRO) and the air war (video, community, AI answers) as we define the AI-native operating system category for financial advisors.

What You'll Do

Own Paid Media Strategy and Execution

  • Own the full paid portfolio: Google, Bing, LinkedIn, and new channels like YouTube, Reddit, and emerging AI ad platforms — from audit to strategy to daily optimization.

  • Rebalance spend and nurture buyers through the discovery journey, education, and purchase journey.

  • Kill what doesn't work fast: suppress bids where organic already wins, cut zero-converting spend, and reallocate to the highest pipeline-per-dollar plays.

Own SEO, AEO, and AI-Driven Visibility

  • Own our visibility where advisors actually research: organic search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. Target the solution queries where the category is being decided.

  • Drive the SEO/AEO roadmap: competitor pages, category gap and long-tail coverage, and content optimized for AI discovery — in partnership with content and web.

  • Use paid to bridge gaps while organic rankings ramp, then harvest the savings.

Own Conversion and the Testing Engine

  • Own landing pages, conversion paths, and CRO so every click has a purpose-built destination — isolated pages, fast tests, compounding wins.

  • Run a disciplined test-and-learn program across creative (video, GIF, static), audiences, offers, and formats, with clear hypotheses and honest readouts.

  • Partner with creative on performance-ready assets and with growth marketing on trial conversion.

Own Measurement and Efficiency

  • Own channel-level reporting: spend pacing, CPL, cost per opportunity, and pipeline-per-dollar by channel — tied to Salesforce, not platform vanity metrics.

  • Own UTM discipline and attribution hygiene with Marketing Ops so paid-driven pipeline is credited correctly and budget decisions are made on real data.

  • Manage the paid budget and agency/vendor relationships; every recommendation shows the math and the tradeoff.

What Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months)

  • Audited and Rebuilt: A full paid account audit is done, waste is cut, and a refreshed evergreen program is live across search and social with a clear channel strategy.

  • Efficiency Up: Cost per marketing-sourced opportunity is driven down toward target and ROAS improves while hitting spend plan.

  • New Channels Proven: At least two new channels (e.g., YouTube Demand Gen, Reddit) are tested and then scaled or killed based on the data.

  • Visible Where It Counts: Jump appears in the AI answers and search results that matter, with competitor and category pages live and gaining share.

  • Trusted Reporting: Weekly channel-level performance reporting is running, tied to pipeline, and used by marketing and sales leadership to make budget calls.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

  • 5+ years owning performance marketing / paid acquisition at a high-growth B2B software company, with hands-on-keyboard depth in Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Bing.

  • Full-funnel measurement fluency: UTMs, attribution, CRM-tied reporting (Salesforce), and the judgment to optimize to pipeline and ROI — not clicks.

  • Working command of SEO and AI-era visibility (AEO/GEO): how buyers research through AI answers, and how paid and organic work as one system.

  • CRO and landing page chops: a track record of testing pages, offers, and creative to measurably lift conversion.

  • A builder's bias: you've originated programs and rebuilt underperforming accounts, not just maintained someone else's machine.

  • Budget ownership of $1M+/year with agency management experience, and the communication skills to defend every dollar to executives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management.

  • Experience launching YouTube Demand Gen, Reddit, or community-driven paid programs.

  • Familiarity with ABM platforms (e.g., 6sense), Marketo, and intent data.

Why This Role Matters

Performance marketing is the engine behind our pipeline targets. Every dollar you deploy, every test you run, and every query you win has a direct line to marketing-sourced pipeline, CAC, and how fast Jump defines the AI-native category — before someone else does.
