SUMMARY
The Sr Manager Regional Procurement – United States is responsible for managing procurement activities for the Epoxy business across U.S. sites, with primary accountability for Raw Materials and Logistics categories.
The role includes direct ownership of critical raw materials, including Phenol, Acetone, and ECH, ensuring supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and effective supplier management.
In addition, the role contributes to global coordination of key Epoxy raw materials across regions.
The role leads a small procurement team and acts as a key interface between U.S. operations, regional procurement leadership, and global category management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead and manage procurement activities for Raw Materials and Logistics.
- Own sourcing and negotiations for Phenol, Acetone, and ECH.
- Ensure supply continuity and mitigate supply risks.
- Contribute to global coordination for key materials.
- Manage logistics and trade compliance activities.
- Act as business partner to stakeholders.
- Lead a Category Manager and a Logistics / Trade Compliance Manager.
- Ensure compliance with policies and DOA
- Any additional responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in procurement manufacturing industries
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong sourcing and supplier management Team leadership experience
- Commercial acumen
- Stakeholder influence
- Analytical capability
- Results-driven mindset
- Strong Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel skills. Strong analytical skills required, SAP experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of employees and management, both inside the company and externally with suppliers as well as effective presentation skills.
- Ability to make decisions or recommendations that are “data based” and align decisions with strategies. Considers the impacts of decisions on other parts of the organization.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position has direct and indirect reports. The position requires the ability to motivate indirect reports in
the Procurement function as well as non-Procurement functions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May be required to travel via auto or airline on a limited basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in the corporate office. The position may require travel. The work environment at the facilities can include excessive noise levels, exposure to weather conditions, working around or adjacent to moving and mobile equipment and climbing ladders. Appropriate personal protective equipment including hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses and/or hard hats may be required while working in a facility.
