We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineering Manager on our team. As a key technical influencer at Realtor.com®, you will contribute across all stages of the software development lifecycle. Your leadership and collaboration skills will drive impactful, cross-organization initiatives, delivering industry-leading solutions. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative systems that empower individuals on their home-buying, selling, or renting journey. You help facilitate individuals' home journeys by aligning them with real estate partners, including Buyer's Agents. Your direct impact will drive the achievement of critical OKRs.

What You'll Do: 

  • Lead engineering teams in delivering high-quality value quickly through Agile incremental development.
  • Design and operationalize experiences and services using advanced data architectures deployed on Amazon Web Services 
  • Partner with technical leads to define a clear technical roadmap and uphold the architectural integrity of Move products.
  • Drive continuous improvement by optimizing tools to accelerate experimentation and value delivery.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, trust, quality, and ongoing improvement.
  • Inspire and energize the team, rallying them to successfully execute a range of organizational initiatives.

What You'll Bring: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading software engineering teams in a technology company, 8+ years related experience
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience 
  • A strong results and outcome-driven focus, understanding the value derived from rapidly shipping code and learning/iterating on the results 
  • Strong ability to coach and mentor engineers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers 
  • Strong expertise in modern web architectures (e.g., React), backend development (e.g., Python), relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
  • Hands-on experience with high-level design and familiarity with best practices and design patterns 
  • Strong empathy for our customers and a passion for exceeding their expectations, always! 
  • A passion for learning, continuous improvement, sharing, and working in a team environment
