  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, code coverage, and secure coding practices.
  • Process & Delivery
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/Jenkins (or similar), ensuring reliable automated builds, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Proactively monitor platform performance, reliability, and security using modern observability and crash reporting tools.
  • Manage technical debt, prioritize refactoring, and champion maintainability across the codebase.
  • Collaborate with product management, UX, and backend engineering teams to align development priorities with product strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve cost efficiency, scalability, and overall platform resilience.
  • People & Culture
  • Mentor engineers in both technical skills (code design, debugging, system design) and career growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion knowledge-sharing practices, such as design reviews, post-mortems, and engineering documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Lead and mentor engineers; manage planning through release and monitoring • Implement and maintain CI/CD (e.g., GitLab/Jenkins) and automated testing • Ensure reliability and crash‑free performance with monitoring and reporting • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams on roadmaps • Drive continuous improvement and cross‑org initiatives for cost and performance EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE • ~10 years total experience (Sr Manager level); advanced degree with 6+ acceptable • 2–5 years managing and developing employees • Expertise in JavaScript, Python, SQL; AWS patterns; client‑facing experience • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills; banking domain a plus
