Position Objective:

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning and MES Enablement is accountable for building and leading a robust production planning capability at the Austin site while representing Planning in the design and implementation of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

This role ensures that planning decisions are clear, realistic, and executable, and that MES enables those decisions on the shop floor. The role does not own MES delivery, but owns planning requirements, data logic, and adoption readiness to ensure system success.

This role owns production planning from raw material availability through finished goods execution, ensuring end-to-end alignment between material supply, capacity, and output. This Senior Manager role serves as the site-level benchmark for Supply Chain Planning capability and is expected to operate with broad cross-functional influence and independent judgment.

Responsibilities:

Production Planning Leadership

  • Own short, medium, and long-term production planning for the Austin site.
  • Translate demand, inventory targets, and capacity constraints into executable production plans.
  • Establish planning discipline, standard work, and clear decision rules.
  • Identify risks early and drive tradeoff discussions with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Improve plan stability, schedule adherence, and inventory outcomes over time.

S&OP and Cross-Functional Integration

  • Serve as the Austin planning lead within the S&OP process.
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning, Operations, Quality, and Finance to align assumptions and priorities.
  • Ensure site-level plans are aligned to enterprise targets and constraints.
  • Escalate issues with clarity, options, and recommended actions.

MES Enablement from a Planning Perspective

  • Represent Production Planning in MES design discussions.
  • Define planning-related requirements including master data, routings, work order logic, and execution rules.
  • Ensure MES supports planning intent rather than distorting it.
  • Partner with IT and Operations to support testing, validation, and readiness.
  • Drive planning-side change management and adoption as MES goes live.

Continuous Improvement and Scalability

  • Use data and system outputs to improve planning accuracy and execution reliability.
  • Help define standard planning and MES design patterns that can scale beyond Austin.
  • Contribute to broader supply chain capability building as systems mature.

Site Supply Chain Interface

  • Serve as the primary Supply Chain point of contact for the Austin site.
  • Coordinate across Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Distribution to ensure end-to-end alignment.
  • Provide integrated supply chain perspective to Site Operations leadership.
  • Ensure site-level supply chain issues are framed clearly and escalated appropriately.
  • As needed, support logistics and distribution coordination at the site to improve service, flow, and inventory outcomes, without assuming direct ownership of execution.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in production or supply planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting or participating in ERP or MES implementations strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into system logic.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex problems.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in cross-functional environments.
  • Clear communicator who escalates issues early and constructively.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity while building structure.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision
  • Life Insurance
  • Supplemental Benefits
  • 401(k) with both Traditional and Roth options available
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • 10 Paid Company Holidays
  • Competitive PTO plan
  • Tuition Reimbursement
