Amazing Career Moments Happen Here
Transforming the insurance industry is ambitious, we know. That's why at Applied, we're building a team that shows up every day ready to learn, willing to try new things, and driven to deliver innovative software and services that make us indispensable to our customers - all within a culture built on values that make us indispensable to each other too. With 40+ years of experience in the Insurtech game, we're not just redefining what's achievable, we're creating a place where amazing career moments are made possible.
Position Overview
We're searching for a Sr. Pricing and Monetization Analyst to join our Sales Operations team in a hybrid setting from our Chicago office (2 days per week). To keep us headed in the right direction, we're looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team's diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.
What You'll Do
  • Pricing Model Development & Maintenance: Architect, build, and own the company's core pricing and monetization calculators. Ensure all models are scalable, accurate, maintainable, and user-friendly for GTM teams.
  • Quantitative & Financial Modeling: Develop complex financial models to simulate the impact of new pricing strategies, product introductions, and bundling initiatives on ARR, margin, and customer adoption.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct and/or synthesize market research and quantitative competitive analysis to inform pricing decisions. Research and analyze industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer willingness-to-pay to ensure our strategies remain competitive and innovative.
  • Deal & Monetization Support: Serve as the primary analytical partner for pricing stakeholders. Provide quantitative support for strategic monetization projects, analyze non-standard deal requests, and provide actionable, data-backed insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • KPI Reporting & Performance Analysis: Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards (e.g., in Tableau, Power BI, or Excel) to track and report on key pricing performance indicators. Analyze pricing performance, discount effectiveness, and deal trends to identify opportunities for optimization, revenue enhancement, and margin leakage reduction.

We're Excited to Learn More About You
Your experience may include:
  • 4-6+ years of progressive experience in Pricing, Financial Analysis (FP&A), Business Analysis, or a related quantitative role, preferably within a B2B SaaS or subscription-based technology company.
  • Expert-level, demonstrable mastery of Microsoft Excel is essential. This includes building complex, multi-dependent financial models from scratch, using advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of statistical analysis, financial modelling, and data-driven problem-solving.
  • A strong grasp of B2B SaaS financial and business metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, LTV, CAC, Churn, Net Dollar Retention).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex quantitative analysis into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work from our Chicago office 2 days per week (Monday and Wednesday).

You may have other skills or credentials, including:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

We know that talent comes from all backgrounds and experience levels. We encourage military members and their spouses as well as candidates without a degree or a background in tech to apply!
