Company Description

As a Sr Principal Power Conversion Technologist in our Performance Computing Power team, you will be a key thought leader driving strategic roadmaps.  Your domain will be from the rack bus bar to the ASIC VR.  Your objective will be to drive compelling system level outcomes that ensure Renesas remains dominant in this space.   

Job Description

This path finding role will comprehend key market challenges and produce long-term technology roadmaps.  Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Deep engagement and understanding of top market making customers. 

  • Analysis and synthesis of technology options. 

  • Produce long term roadmaps covering critical areas such as packaging, process, and IP. 

  • Identify key areas where Renesas can develop disruptive capabilities. 

  • Build organizational consensus around direction.  Ensure team understand the “why” to motivate enthusiastic execution. 

  

Qualifications

This role requires deep technical strength in high performance power conversion with demonstrated capability in both theoretical and real-world domains.  A broad comprehension of topics including magnetics design, passive component selection, power device driver challenges, and real-world implementation challenges is required. Broad technical capability/exposure will be combined with excellent technical and executive communication skills. Typical requirements are a minimum of 15-20 years of relevant semiconductor & market specific experience.  Minimum BSEE, advanced degree is a plus.
