Why TrueML?

TrueML is a mission-driven financial software company that aims to create better customer experiences for distressed borrowers. Consumers today want personal, digital-first experiences that align with their lifestyles, especially when it comes to managing finances. TrueML’s approach uses machine learning to engage each customer digitally and adjust strategies in real time in response to their interactions.

The TrueML team includes inspired data scientists, financial services industry experts and customer experience fanatics building technology to serve people in a way that recognizes their unique needs and preferences as human beings and endeavoring toward ensuring nobody gets locked out of the financial system.

About This Role:

As the Senior Product Manager for the Consumer Payment Portal, you are the chief advocate for the individual borrower. You are joining us to transform a traditionally stressful experience into one of empowerment and clarity. Your mission is to lead the strategy for a sophisticated, AI-driven platform that presents millions of users with personalized financial paths—whether that’s a custom payment plan, a settlement offer, or a new digital payment method. You will bridge the gap between complex fintech infrastructure and human-centered design to ensure no one is locked out of the financial system.

What You'll Do:

  • Shape the Vision: Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for our Consumer Payments products, aligning cutting-edge AI capabilities with TrueML’s mission to help distressed borrowers.

  • Optimize via Data Science: Collaborate with our Data Science team to design ML models that intelligently present the right offer at the right time, maximizing conversion while prioritizing consumer wellness.

  • Revolutionize Payments: Partner with global vendors (e.g., Stripe, Plaid) to eliminate transaction friction, expand payment options, and strategically manage processing costs.

  • Build Transparent Systems: Lead the development of a robust balance-ledger service and intuitive user interfaces that allow consumers to track history and manage obligations with total confidence.

  • Drive Market Growth: Identify and quantify new B2B opportunities, partnering with Sales and Marketing to bring high-impact payment solutions to market with a stellar GTM strategy.

  • Define Success: Establish and monitor the KPIs that matter, using a mix of user research and quantitative analysis to iterate rapidly in an Agile environment.

Who You Are:

    • A Fintech Specialist: You bring 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a deep-seated understanding of the payments industry, gateways, and consumer-facing financial journeys.

    • A Strategic Thinker: You have a proven ability to translate complex business requirements and user pain points into detailed, actionable product specifications.

    • Collaborative & Curious: You thrive when working across functional lines—specifically with Data Scientists and Engineers—to turn raw data and machine learning into impactful user features.

    • A Master Communicator: You can navigate the technical nuances of a ledger system while eloquently advocating for the user experience to stakeholders and clients.

    • Agile & Expert: You are a veteran of Agile methodologies and hold a degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or have the equivalent "real-world" experience to prove it).

    • Bonus Enthusiast: You get extra credit if you’ve dabbled in A/B testing, understand the nuances of debt resolution, or have hands-on experience with AI applications in finance.
