About Whisker Labs

We’re on a mission to save lives and property, leading the next wave in smart home technology and fire prevention with Ting. This intelligent sensor and concierge service monitors a home’s electrical network to detect electrical hazards that often lead to the most devastating and catastrophic fires. While on the job preventing fires inside a home, Ting also helps monitor the electrical grid, contributing to increased community fire safety and reduced environmental impact that comes with fire reduction. We’re steadfastly addressing the long-underserved realm of electrical fire prevention with leading-edge technology and embarking on the next stage of our growth. About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to elevate how partners and internal teams experience our data across the full suite of product surfaces. This role combines strategic influence with hands-on execution, helping shape how product management operates across the organization while leading key initiatives that drive customer value.

Your onboarding will begin with deep exposure to Operations, Data Science, Engineering, Program Management, and partner-facing teams. This foundational learning phase is critical to understanding how product-related work is currently distributed, how decisions are made, and how teams collaborate today. From there, you will help shape the rhythms, processes, and structures that support a more unified product practice—roadmapping, prioritization, requirements development, and cross-functional alignment. While this work is underway, you will also take ownership of a key early initiative: delivering a rebuilt, customer-forward version of our enterprise partner dashboard. This will be one of several important product surfaces you’ll influence as the organization continues to grow.

This role is ideal for a builder/operator—someone who thrives in environments where product responsibilities are evolving, who can bring structure to ambiguity, and who enjoys working across multiple product experiences to create clarity and momentum.

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong relationships across Operations, Engineering, Data Science, Program Management Marketing, and partner-facing teams to understand existing workflows and how product decisions are made today.
  • Help shape the product management function by developing clearer operating rhythms, shared practices, and improved alignment across teams.
  • Lead one of our highest-impact early initiatives: delivering a redesigned and refactored enterprise partner dashboard that enhances clarity, usability, and customer value.
  • Translate business needs, customer insights, and operational realities into clear product requirements, user stories, and sequencing plans.
  • Develop wireframes and user flows that guide understanding, prioritization, and execution across engineering and design partners.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle—including discovery, planning, development, release, and iterative improvement—for the initiatives under your stewardship.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination with Engineering, QA, Operations, Marketing and Program Management to ensure smooth delivery and alignment.
  • Lead user acceptance testing and ensure that all releases meet a high standard of quality and reliability.
  • Provide Tier 2 product expertise for escalated issues, helping diagnose root causes and ensuring insights are translated into future improvements.
  • Engage with internal teams and external partners to gather detailed input and validate product decisions.
  • Work across the full suite of internal and external product experiences—helping establish coherence, shared standards, and scalable patterns

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in customer-facing or enterprise-oriented software environments.
  • Proven experience building structure and alignment in settings where product responsibilities are distributed or evolving.
  • Strong ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, QA, Data Science, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes, user flows, and conceptual designs using tools such as Figma.
  • Experience shaping product processes—roadmapping, prioritization, requirement development, and planning cycles.
  • Familiarity with core API concepts and the ability to translate product needs into clear, API-related requirements for engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing complex product issues, managing escalations, and validating product readiness.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills—able to synthesize complex inputs and articulate clear recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
