Job Summary:

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering large-scale oil & gas and energy infrastructure projects across Strike’s West Texas operations. From project conception through construction, start-up, and close-out, the SPM ensures projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to client specifications. This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of West Texas oilfield operations, and proven estimating experience to ensure accurate bids, and project profitability.

Primary Job Function:

  •  Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of West Texas pipeline, facility, and energy infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.
  • Act as the primary client contact for regional projects, building strong relationships and providing regular status updates on schedules, budgets, and project performance.
  • Define project roles, responsibilities, and authorities for field and office teams across West Texas operations.
  • Manage budgets, monitor costs, and approve purchase orders, contracts, and subcontracts in accordance with Strike policies.
  • Must be able to prepare estimates of project cost at various phases to support bids and project execution planning.
  • Direct internal and external project meetings to address ROW, permitting, survey, engineering, material availability, and construction progress.
  • Oversee change management processes, including scope revisions, claims, and trend analysis.
  • Ensure timely completion of permits, schedules, project reports, change control documentation, and close-out packages.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to project staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent field experience in oil & gas project execution strongly considered.
  • 10 plus years of industry experience.
  • Estimating and Schedule building is a must.
  • Positive past working relationship with major suppliers in the region is a plus

Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple West Texas projects.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.

Other Criteria:

  • Based in West Texas region with ability to travel to project sites across the basin as needed.
  • Must comply with Strike’s safety, drug & alcohol, and operational policies.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Sponsorship not available

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Regular travel to project sites in West Texas, including exposure to active construction environments and extreme weather conditions.
  • Required to walk on uneven ground, climb over pipes, and work extended hours as project demands dictate.
