Position Summary:

Join our Vision One Container Security team as a Sr. Software Engineer to design, implement, test, deploy, and support cutting-edge security solutions for container lifecycle management. We seek a developer with outstanding programming skills, a deep understanding of software design, and a passion for adopting new technologies. You will lead architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers, driving innovation and delivering high-quality solutions that enhance container security.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in short sprints with your team to deliver regular business and customer outcomes.

  • Apply DevOps principles for regular deployment of feature improvements.

  • Manage and operate team services, including incident handling and post-incident analysis.

  • Maintain and enhance infrastructure code, unit tests, and monitoring tools.

  • Prioritize continuous personal and professional growth, sharing knowledge across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • At least four years of full-time software development experience, with a focus on backend processes.

  • Expertise in developing Kubernetes applications using Golang and developing applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential.

  • Proficiency in building scalable applications in cloud-native settings.

  • Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, event-driven and serverless architectures.

  • Skills in Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, or AWS CDK.

  • Demonstrated ability in secure coding and understanding security protocols.

  • Contributions to CNCF or other open-source projects are advantageous.

  • Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages with a preference for automation.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage tight deadlines effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a capacity to drive significant business impact.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, adept at working with a Canada-based team and coordinating with global teams across multiple time zones.
