Job Description:

Job Summary:

Shape, influence and create sourcing strategies that enable world‑class marketing and creative experiences at Disney. The Senior Sourcing Specialist partners with marketing, creative and production stakeholders to deliver sourcing solutions that balance cost, quality, innovation and long‑term supplier value. This role leads complex sourcing initiatives, mentors others through influence and operates as a trusted advisor across the organization.

About the Role & Team

At Disney, we’re storytellers. We make the impossible, possible—using creativity, technology and collaboration to bring stories to life across our parks, resorts, products and media experiences.

The Disney Experiences Marketing & Graphic Communications Strategic Sourcing Team works behind the scenes to support that storytelling. We explore the marketplace, identify best‑in‑class creative and production partners and design sourcing strategies that allow our teams to deliver extraordinary Guest experiences.

Our sourcing specialists act as trusted advisors—uncovering business needs, analyzing markets, collaborating across functions and negotiating outcomes that support the full sourcing lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who combines analytical rigor with curiosity, relationship‑building and a desire to continuously improve how work gets done.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Sourcing Specialist owns and executes strategic sourcing Marketing initiatives aligned to the goals of Disney Experiences, spanning agency services, production, creative, print and emerging marketing delivery models.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own defined segments of the Marketing category strategy, translating business demand, market dynamics and supplier capabilities into actionable sourcing roadmaps.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert within marketing sourcing.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Marketing and Creative leaders, helping stakeholders define problems, challenge assumptions and evaluate tradeoffs across cost, speed, quality and innovation.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities that drive cost savings, efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Design and execute competitive sourcing events, including RFPs and negotiations.
  • Conduct independent market intelligence including supplier landscape mapping, capability differentiation, pricing drivers and emerging delivery models.
  • Assess market health, capacity constraints and risk indicators to proactively inform sourcing strategies and stakeholder decisions.
  • Translate external market trends into internal implications, clearly articulating risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
  • Lead complex, high‑value negotiations that are material to business outcomes.
  • Design and evolve supplier portfolio strategies, including preferred supplier models, consolidation vs diversification decisions and capability gaps.
  • Engage strategic suppliers at an executive level to drive innovation, performance improvement and long-term value.
  • Evaluate and mitigate commercial, operational and reputational risk within the supplier ecosystem.
  • Synthesize financial, operational and market data into clear executive-level insights, enabling informed, timely decisions.
  • Develop scenario-based analyses and recommendations to support negotiations, supplier selection and long-term strategy decisions.
  • Act as an informal leader and mentor, supporting the development of junior team members.

While structured as an individual contributor role, this position is expected to consistently demonstrate leadership behaviors, influence without authority and operate as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and peers.

Who This Role Is For

This role is well‑suited to experienced sourcing professionals who bring a strategic mindset, strong market perspective and the ability to influence outcomes across complex, creative environments. While it is an individual contributor role, expectations extend beyond execution to include category ownership, market insight and leadership through influence. This position is for those who:

  • Enjoy owning strategic, high‑visibility work
  • Influence outcomes through expertise and relationships rather than hierarchy
  • Thrive in creative or marketing‑driven environments
  • Want to deepen category expertise while growing toward future leadership roles

This role offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of brand, creativity and commercial strategy within one of the world’s most recognized storytelling organizations. Senior Sourcing Specialists are trusted voices in shaping how Disney engages the external market and are viewed as future leaders within the Strategic Sourcing organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of strategic sourcing experience, ideally with 2+ years supporting marketing services and partnering with complex stakeholders
  • Experience negotiating services agreements
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end sourcing processes
  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills, with experience leveraging tools such as Excel and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Ability to analyze data, synthesize insights and communicate clearly
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across functions and leadership levels
  • Curious, resourceful and committed to continuous learning

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain management, marketing or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior leadership experience within sourcing
  • CPM, CIRM, CPIM, or similar certifications preferred.
  • Graduate / Master’s degree in business or another quantitative discipline
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)
The hiring range for this position in Florida is $100,100.00 to $134,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
