About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented tax professional looking to make a strategic impact in a highly innovative and growing organization? We are looking for a proactive Senior Tax Accountant to play a pivotal role in our company’s tax function. In this position, you won't just be crunching numbers; you will partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and support key business growth initiatives.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment, love solving complex puzzles through tax research, and are eager to optimize reporting processes, we want you on our team!

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns, gross receipts tax returns, personal property tax renditions, and handle other indirect tax reporting.

  • Partner with our external advisors to successfully manage federal and state income tax compliance.

  • Own and manage the corporate tax calendar to guarantee timely filing and payment of all tax obligations.

  • Support vital tax accounting activities, including complex account reconciliations and tight month-end close processes.

  • Research evolving tax laws and regulations to proactively assess their impact on our business operations.

  • Review transactions and business activities to ensure proper tax treatment and identify potential tax exposures before they become issues.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for tax notices, audits, and information requests from tax authorities.

  • Collaborate seamlessly across departments (Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, IT) and with external consultants on all tax-related matters.

  • Identify, champion, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline the tax function.

  • Support leadership with special strategic projects as the company scales.

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

  • CPA or similar active certification is highly preferred.

  • 3+ years of progressive tax or accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to both income tax and indirect tax compliance.

  • General Ledger accounting experience is required.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Word).

  • Strong experience with major ERP systems (Oracle experience is highly preferred; NetSuite, SAP, or similar is acceptable).

  • Familiarity with GSuite (Gmail, Sheets, Google Docs).

  • Experience with tax automation software is a strong plus.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen focus on the details.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders.

  • Adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing competing deadlines, particularly during tight month-end close processes.

  • A team-oriented mindset with a genuine willingness to learn new skills and adapt in a growing environment.
