The Role

As an experienced UX Generalist you’ll be contributing and leading the research and design of our digital products. Working in concert with Product and Engineering partners, you’ll be applying your extensive skills and experience across the entire UX process including all key stages of UX research (including a wide variety of research methods, testing, metrics and insights), and UX design (including ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design). You will take a holistic approach, creating intuitive, accessible, beautiful, and highly usable designs that have strong foundations in research, data, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings with users, clients, product sponsors and technology to understand requirements

• Plan and perform UX research, define IA, user journeys, and create personas

• Identify metrics and data that can support decision-making, guiding tech partners where needed to add necessary metrics

• Work closely with users, stakeholders, business analysts, product managers and development teams to brainstorm and co-create ideas, approaches and solutions

• Perform relevant testing to validate and inform design decisions

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma

• Apply a positive and constructive attitude to all feedback

• Use (and contribute to) the design system, design standards and best practices

• Perform detailed handover to dev teams, ensuring they have all they need to implement the designs

• Provide ongoing collaboration with dev, including regular UX review checkpoints to ensure quality

• Continuously look for opportunities to improve research and design practices and processes, keeping track of latest trends, standards and tools in the industry

• Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility

• Deliver on-time, identifying and managing risks to ensure timelines are met, escalating where needed

• Confidently challenge substandard work by other team members, providing coaching and guidance

• Build consensus, and find smart solutions when colleagues and stakeholders are in conflict over technical or design

Required Skills, Experience and Competencies

• 5-10 years of industry UX Design experience

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving

• Experience on complex, enterprise-scale or consumer design projects

• Creative flair and a good eye for design

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Outstanding skills in professional design tools, such as: Figma, Sketch, AdobeXD, InVision.

• Experience working with, and contributing to, Design Systems

• Bachelors Degree

Desirable Skills, Experience and Competencies

• Experience in e-commerce/Internet/mobile space

• Experience with agile methodology

• Financial services industry and commercial banking experience

• Master’s degree


Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 42,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 169,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
This position is not available for independent contractors
