We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Workday Systems Administrator to join our HR Technology team. This role will support the maintenance, optimization, and configuration of Workday modules, with particular emphasis on Payroll, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking. The ideal candidate will combine deep HR functional knowledge with Workday system expertise to ensure data integrity, enhance reporting capabilities, improve process efficiency, and drive effective use of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Workday modules, with a strong focus on Payroll, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Payroll and Benefits configurations, including eligibility rules, benefit plans, payroll calculations, and integrations impacting pay and deductions.

  • Design, build, and maintain Workday reports and dashboards using Report Writer, including advanced and matrix reports.

  • Develop and maintain calculated fields to support reporting, integrations, and business process requirements.

  • Translate business needs into functional system requirements and configure Workday solutions accordingly.

  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to implement and optimize HR processes and workflows in Workday.

  • Conduct system testing for new configurations, enhancements, upgrades, and patches.

  • Create and maintain documentation for system configuration, processes, and procedures.

  • Support payroll and benefits audits, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.

  • Stay up to date on Workday updates/releases and provide recommendations for leveraging new features.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 7–14 years of experience with Workday HCM, with a strong focus on Workday Payroll and Benefits configuration and maintenance

  • Strong experience building Workday reports and calculated fields

  • Demonstrated experience across Workday modules, including Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation

  • Solid understanding of payroll processes, benefits administration, and HR systems best practices

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Workday Pro Certification or Partner certification in relevant modules

  • Advanced experience with Workday Reporting (matrix, composite, dashboards)

  • Knowledge of Workday integrations and EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders)

  • Experience working in a global or multi-entity environment

The salary range for this position is: $130,000 - $150,000Cool Things to Know
