At ParentSquare, we’re passionate about improving the lives of students, and that passion drives how we build our product and serve our customers. In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our production systems. You will work closely with development teams to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure and automation solutions.

This role will include:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using cloud platforms such as AWS, containerization, and infrastructure as code.

  • Participate in on-call rotations to respond to critical incidents and ensure system availability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and address reliability concerns.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and playbooks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our SRE practices and tooling.
  • Collaborate with internal compliance teams to maintain our security posture
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of Python, GoLang, or Ruby.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Why Join Us?

At ParentSquare, we believe in winning together and building a product that truly serves schools, educators, and families. We value transparency, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial spirit, and we look for team members who share these values. You’ll have the opportunity to lead design at scale, influence a fast-growing company, and make a meaningful impact on K-12 education.

The perks of working for us are great! You’ll get your foot in the door as our company continues to grow. We’re big believers in work-life balance and provide:

  • Employer-paid health insurance (including dependent coverage)
  • An employer-matched 401K retirement savings program from day 1
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Stock options
  • Health + wellness reimbursements
  • Generous PTO
  • 15 paid holidays, including your birthday!

As a fully remote team, we’ll make sure you have all the tools and equipment you need to make your home office a place where you can thrive.

We're an equal-opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.

This role will have an annual salary of $170,000-$200,000 DOE
