Position:  Accounting Specialist / Staff Accountant – Dripping Springs, TX

Staff Accountant: (in-person, M-F, 8AM to 5PM)
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will provide recurring support across month-end close, account reconciliations, operational accounting, accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting within a fast-paced, multi-entity organization.

This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional who takes ownership of their work, can manage multiple priorities, and enjoys working collaboratively with both the Accounting team and operational staff. The successful candidate will be comfortable researching discrepancies, following transactions through to resolution, and helping maintain accurate and timely financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries
  • Support day-to-day accounts payable and operational accounting processes
  • Research, monitor, and resolve outstanding accounting items and discrepancies
  • Assist with cash reconciliations, cash activity, and treasury-related support
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records, documentation, and supporting schedules
  • Assist with financial reporting and management reporting as needed
  • Provide support for internal and external audit requests
  • Assist with maintaining and improving accounting processes, procedures, and workflow standardization
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Operations team members to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of accounting activities
  • Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned
What you will need:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience working with an ERP or accounting system; NetSuite experience preferred
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas, reconciliations, and financial data
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will become a dependable member of the Accounting team, consistently completing reconciliations and close responsibilities accurately and on time, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and helping improve the efficiency and consistency of our accounting processes.
