This role empowers you to make a significant impact on the consumer experience by delivering exceptional technical solutions. As part of our team, you’ll collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and technology professionals while partnering with internal stakeholders. Join us to revolutionize the real estate journey for buyers, owners, sellers, and renters, leveraging cutting-edge technology (such as GraphQL, Node.js, AWS) and many other innovative solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain our advanced Consumer Services platform, addressing present challenges and preparing for future scalability.

  • Partner with Product Managers, Analysts, Scientists, and Engineers to foster a dynamic and collaborative environment.

  • Lead the development of scalable backend-for-frontend solutions that empower frontend teams to excel.

  • Champion best practices to enhance quality, ensure rapid delivery, and set a high standard for technical excellence.

  • Mentor and guide team members, contributing to their professional growth and success.

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, assessing their potential and recommending their adoption to strengthen our solutions and products.

  • Collaborate within a team that values innovation, inclusivity, and teamwork to deliver high-quality results.

  • Work within an Agile/Scrum product development framework to adapt and address challenges effectively.

What you'll bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: 8-10 years of professional experience in backend software engineering, particularly with microservices architecture.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js (TypeScript), Go, or Java.

    • Extensive experience designing and implementing APIs using GraphQL, including schema design, resolver implementation, and efficient data handling.

    • Expertise in building scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.

    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with an understanding of cloud-native practices.

  • Leadership and Communication: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to effectively communicate across cross-functional teams.

  • Architecture Design: Experience designing scalable, performant, and secure microservices architectures that align with business needs.

  • Testing and DevOps: Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD practices to ensure robust software delivery.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
