At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most.

As a Staff Product Manager on our Consumer team, you’ll help define how millions of consumers experience Affirm across our mobile apps, web experiences, and future consumer surfaces.

As the Staff Product Manager, App Platform & Experience, you will own the foundational systems, frameworks, and experiences that make Affirm intuitive, cohesive, and scalable. You will define the experience architecture that enables teams across the company to deliver consistent, high-quality consumer experiences while maintaining a clear and unified vision for how consumers interact with Affirm. You’ll partner closely with our Mobile and Web organizations to evolve the shared platforms, systems, and React Native foundations that power Affirm’s consumer experiences.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that sits at the intersection of Product, Design, Engineering, Research, Analytics, and Brand.

What you’ll do

  • Define and drive the long-term vision for Affirm’s core consumer experience across app, web, and future consumer surfaces.

  • Own foundational experience domains including navigation, information architecture, design systems, shared UX frameworks, and platform capabilities.

  • Lead major experience initiatives, including large-scale redesigns and structural improvements to the consumer journey.

  • Partner closely with Mobile and Web Engineering teams to shape the architecture, capabilities, and developer experience of Affirm’s consumer platforms, including our React Native application stack.

  • Help define the shared capabilities, navigation patterns, component frameworks, and platform investments that enable product teams to build high-quality experiences consistently across React Native and web surfaces.

  • Establish principles, standards, and frameworks that help product teams deliver consistent and intuitive experiences.

  • Create scalable approaches for common consumer experience patterns across onboarding, discovery, personalization, engagement, servicing, and account management.

  • Serve as a strong advocate for consumers, ensuring that user needs remain at the center of product and platform decisions.

  • Drive alignment across multiple organizations and influence roadmaps without direct authority.

  • Establish mechanisms that raise the quality bar across the Consumer organization, including experience reviews, standards, and governance processes.

  • Use research, experimentation, analytics, and product judgment to identify opportunities to improve the overall consumer experience.

What we look for

  • 8+ years of product management experience building consumer technology products at scale.

  • Demonstrated success leading highly cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams and product areas.

  • Strong consumer product instincts and exceptional product taste.

  • Experience owning or influencing core mobile and web experiences, navigation systems, information architecture, platform experiences, or design systems.

  • Experience partnering deeply with Design and Engineering organizations to deliver polished consumer experiences.

  • Experience partnering closely with engineering teams building large-scale consumer applications, including experience working within React Native environments. While deep technical expertise is not required, you should be comfortable shaping product strategy for shared platform capabilities and mobile architecture decisions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational influence skills.

  • Proven ability to build alignment and drive outcomes in complex environments without direct authority.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
You’ll Stand Out If
  • You’ve led major redesigns or foundational experience transformations.

  • You’ve built shared product platforms, frameworks, or systems that enabled multiple teams to move faster while improving experience quality.

  • You have deep expertise in consumer mobile and web experiences and understand the nuances of designing for engagement, trust, and simplicity.

  • You have a track record of defining product principles and influencing organizational decision-making at scale.
