Loot Labs is on a mission to make collecting fun. We believe that every collectible tells a story: of passion, nostalgia, and discovery.
Through our flagship product, Boxed.gg we are reimagining how the world collects by blending digital entertainment with tangible rewards, delivering nostalgia and discovery straight to the fans' doorsteps.
We are...

  • Community First: We've served 1M collectors and foster an active community of over 145k+ Discord members.

  • Ambitiously Led: Led by veterans from Microsoft, Twitch, 2K, and Boeing.

  • Remote-First: We value high autonomy, low ego, and trust our team to build from anywhere in the world.

Since our inception in 2023, we’ve seen significant year-over-year growth. And now we're gearing up for our most ambitious year yet, with major expansions planned across product offerings, strategic partnerships, and next-generation collector experiences. If you’re ready to build products that spark joy at a global scale, you’re in the right place.

The role

We're hiring a Staff Product Manager to own the BOXED.GG roadmap and contribute to other strategic initiatives. In this role you'll set direction, defend that direction to founders and senior stakeholders, and be accountable for what the business builds next.

You'll work with an engineering team that is weighted toward staff and principal-caliber talent. The BOXED team is filled with product-minded builders that will ask why, challenge direction, and ship great quality products. If that sounds great, keep reading.

What you'll own
  • The BOXED Economy: At the centre of BOXED is an economy with gems, shards, and multiple ways of earning & spending site balance. This site balance is interconnected with real world collectible markets, where card prices are constantly in motion, impacting the price of our primary product, boxes. You will own the health of this economy, think through opportunities to enhance the BOXED economy, and carefully consider customer sentiment all the while.

  • The full customer journey: The BOXED user journey spans from onboarding, to new user activation, to core gamification and opening experiences, to social & retention mechanics, to the in-product economy, and all of the logistical fulfillment systems that underpin it all. Most PMs have owned one or two of these. You'll own the overall product and the seams between them.

  • The BOXED roadmap: You'll propose what we build, sequence it against a business that's already working, and drive towards business & customer outcomes. The BOXED team cares deeply about both customer impact while driving towards business outcomes - and driving towards both here is essential. You have to be able to show your work.

  • Data-driven decision making: Activation, retention, monetization, referrals - you will live in the quantitative data, spec the analytics that will make features & experiments successful, and you will pull and analyze this data yourself. You will also live in qualitative data: customer interviews, community beta test groups, polls & surveys, and more - that ensures we are building for our customers.

  • The BOXED inventory pipeline: What we can source constrains what we can offer, and what we offer impacts sourcing decisions. You will focus on these systems problems that sit within a consumer experience.

Who we're looking for
  • You've operated where the buck stops with you. Maybe you were the 1st or 2nd PM in an org, maybe you owned a business line inside a larger org, or maybe you led a product where founders looked to you for an answer. What matters is that you have defended and made truly difficult decisions.

  • You've operated somewhere where headcount isn’t the answer, ownership and agency are. You’ve had days where you’ve written a PRD, chased a vendor, caught a production bug, dug through support tickets, chatted with customers, and unblocked an engineer on a hairy problem

  • You've owned a roadmap with significant revenue impact. You’ve operated in a role where you were responsible for driving impact, and you can explain how & why core product metrics positive or negatively changed.

  • You've worked alongside team members who questioned your reasoning, and you earned the trust of the room. You are technical enough to gain the trust of your engineering and design teammates, but you know when to let them do their job.

  • You've said no to a leader and made it stick, or said yes and then delivered something better than what was asked for. You can stand up for what you think is right, but also can disagree and commit with learning in mind.

  • You aren’t afraid of going across department lines to solve problems - jumping in to work with colleagues across orgs like marketing, growth, fulfillment, support, and more

  • You are curious about collectibles as an industry. You don't need to have collected cards, but you are the kind of person who asks lots of questions, digs in with the community, and forms a real point of view about what collectors want.

  • Full-stack model (T-Shaped)

    • Understands the parts of the business that touch theirs and operates across them.

    • Fluent across multiple verticals

    • Has wide context across the org

    • Connects dots beyond just their core discipline

    • Recognized depth in one area and credible contribution across several

  • Scrappiness

    • Creates leverage that scales the business without defaulting to added cost or headcount as step 1

    • Experiments with new tools or ways of working (eg AI)

    • Resourcefully unblocks themselves; builds or automates a fix

    • Sets the bar for doing more with less.

  • Measure what matters

    • Knows the data and facts behind the work

    • Build new ways to measure what matters and how it drives impact to company goals

    • Proactively digs for patterns and trends

    • Backs decisions with evidence

Preferred, not required
  • Experience building consumer products with engagement loops and habit formation

  • Marketplace, e-commerce or fulfillment systems experience

  • Familiarity with digital economies, site currencies, and payment rails

  • Experience with live operations and in-product economy design

  • Personal interest in collectibles, TCGs, or hobby communities

Why this role
  • Real scope & impact: you will have the opportunity to double, quadruple, or 10x core product metrics. Within a quarter, you’ll be the person deciding what BOXED builds and why.

  • A growing product: you will enter a business that is healthy and thriving. You will be compounding growth on a product where core metrics are up-and-to-the-right.

  • The team: The engineers building BOXED is small, senior, product-minded, and low-ego. If your last few years were spent negotiating with a platform team for capacity, this will feel like a breath of fresh air.

  • Solving problems: The problem space is extremely rich, at the intersection of consumer psychology, economic design, real world collectibles, and physical logistics.
