WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own day-to-day operational responsibility for the stability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise block, file, and object storage platforms, shaping how storage supports business-critical workloads
  • Build scalable automation and tooling using scripting and configuration management to eliminate manual tasks, accelerate provisioning, and standardize configuration at scale
  • Drive proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance analysis to surface trends, remediate risks, and optimize cost and utilization
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and optimize storage systems and firmware to meet evolving workload requirements and lead hardware refresh and upgrade projects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement durable corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with global support teams to ensure seamless 24x7 coverage, effective handoffs, and ongoing skill development across the support organization
  • Partner with infrastructure, database, cloud, and application teams to align priorities, validate performance, and deliver storage-related projects end-to-end
  • Maintain and evolve operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to promote consistency and rapid knowledge transfer
  • Manage incident response and stakeholder communication for storage-related outages, producing post-incident reports and driving continuous improvement

WHAT'S REQUIRED

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise storage platforms across production environments
  • Demonstrated experience with block storage technologies, file storage, and object storage
  • Proven scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, and Ansible to automate operational tasks and deploy configuration changes at scale
  • Direct experience with data protection technologies including Rubrik, Cohesity, and Data Domain, and with supporting backup, recovery, and disaster recovery workflows
  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and optimizing enterprise storage systems and firmware in production environments
  • Proven incident management and troubleshooting experience resolving complex storage issues under production pressure and restoring service rapidly
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with infrastructure, database, cloud, and application teams globally
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends, participate in on-call rotations, and work from our New York office as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong documentation practices, and the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
