This role is designed for a sales professional with a strong hunter mentality who thrives on building pipeline and expanding market presence. As an Account Executive, you'll focus on identifying and securing new business opportunities with banks and credit unions while also nurturing customer relationships and uncovering opportunities for growth.
You'll have the autonomy to manage your territory, collaborate closely with internal teams, and play a key role in expanding QDS's footprint throughout the financial services industry.
The RoleThe Account Executive is responsible for generating new business and expanding QDS's presence within an assigned territory by prospecting financial institutions and developing new customer relationships. The role focuses on building pipeline, acquiring new logos, and driving revenue growth through effective outreach, discovery conversations, presentations, and solution proposals.
This is a full-cycle, quota-carrying sales role that requires persistence, initiative, business acumen, and the ability to communicate value to executive decision-makers.
The individual in this role must reside in or around one of the following cities: Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Houston, TX.
What You’ll Do
- Become a subject matter expert across all QDS solutions and services.
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with banks and credit unions.
- Build and execute a strategic territory plan to achieve sales and revenue goals.
- Receive target account lists from RevOps and develop outreach strategies to generate qualified opportunities.
- Grow net-new logos and expand QDS's presence within the assigned geographic territory.
- Conduct proactive outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn messaging, connection requests, and in-person visits.
- Canvas assigned territories through relationship-building and face-to-face meetings with prospective financial institutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects, clients, and key stakeholders.
- Schedule and lead discovery meetings, sales presentations, and solution demonstrations.
- Clearly communicate ROI, cost-benefit analyses, and business impact of QDS solutions.
- Create, present, and manage proposals using approved company tools and processes.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in collaboration with internal leadership.
- Attend customer kick-off meetings and support a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, contacts, and opportunity data in HubSpot.
- Provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline performance, and territory progress.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory considerations, and challenges facing financial institutions.
- Build and maintain a professional LinkedIn presence through posting, commenting, and industry engagement.
- Participate in local credit union chapter meetings, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience selling to financial institutions preferred.
