About Fluidstack

We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.

We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

About the role

The Senior Strategic Account Manager (SAM) serves as the single point of contact for owning the full lifecycle of complex datacenter infrastructure engagements, from initial purchase order through final commissioning. This role demands an exceptional ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams spanning IT procurement, engineering, infrastructure supply chain, and construction, translating operational complexity into clear, confident client communications.

Single Point of Contact & Client Ownership

  • Serve as the primary and accountable point of contact for assigned customers throughout the entire engagement lifecycle.

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships, ensuring clients experience a seamless, unified interface to the organization regardless of internal complexity.

  • Proactively manage client expectations, surface risks early, and deliver consistent status updates with accuracy and confidence.

  • Translate highly technical progress across engineering, procurement, and construction workstreams into clear, executive-friendly reporting.

Internal Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Lead and align internal teams across IT procurement, engineering, infrastructure supply chain, and construction/commissioning disciplines toward shared client milestones.

  • Facilitate cross-departmental coordination meetings, own action items, and drive accountability across all internal stakeholders.

  • Act as the internal champion for the client — escalating issues, removing blockers, and ensuring organizational resources are prioritized appropriately.

  • Develop and maintain RACI frameworks, communication cadences, and escalation paths for each account.

Datacenter Lifecycle Reporting & Program Oversight

  • Own end-to-end progress reporting from PO placement through datacenter commissioning, ensuring full visibility at every phase.

  • Lead the monitoring and reporting on procurement milestones, lead times, logistics, site readiness, infrastructure deployment, and commissioning sign-offs.

  • Develop and maintain integrated program dashboards, milestone trackers, and executive summary reports for client delivery.

  • Assist with the identification and communication of schedule risks, supply chain disruptions, or resource gaps and develop mitigation strategies in coordination with internal teams.

Technical Domain Engagement

  • Partner with engineering teams to understand design intent, technical specifications, and deployment dependencies.

  • Coordinate with infrastructure supply chain on material readiness, logistics scheduling, and delivery confirmation.

  • Interface with construction and commissioning teams to track progress against build schedules, system testing, and facility turnover milestones.

Strategic Account Development

  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with clients, presenting program performance, insights, and forward-looking roadmaps.

  • Provide VOC (Voice of Customer) feedback to internal product and operations teams to drive continuous service improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic account management, program management, or client success in a data center technology or infrastructure context.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-phase datacenter or critical infrastructure projects from procurement through commissioning.

  • Proven track record of successfully orchestrating large, matrixed internal organizations on behalf of key clients.

  • Experience owning senior-level client relationships with consistent satisfaction and renewal outcomes.

Domain Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of IT procurement processes, vendor management, and hardware/software lifecycle.

  • Familiarity with engineering disciplines relevant to datacenter environments (power, cooling, structural, network infrastructure).

  • Understanding of infrastructure supply chain dynamics, including lead times, logistics, and risk factors.

  • Working knowledge of construction and commissioning processes for mission-critical facilities including testing, certification, and turnover procedures.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams without losing precision or urgency.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills — able to influence, align, and motivate diverse stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Executive presence: comfortable presenting complex program status to C-suite and VP-level audiences with clarity and confidence.

  • High proficiency in program reporting tools, project tracking platforms (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira), and executive dashboard creation.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into coherent, actionable narratives.

  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure, especially during schedule slippage or supply chain disruptions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project/program management certification.

  • Experience with hyperscale or colocation datacenter clients.

  • Background in or direct exposure to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracting environments.

  • Familiarity with DCIM tools and datacenter operational frameworks.

  • Prior experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or delivery management role.

Salary & Benefits
  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).

  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
