About the RoleWe’re hiring a Strategic Sales Engineer to own technical discovery, solutioning, and customer engagement for strategic accounts in the West region and drive impact across our sales organization.
You’ll work closely with Account Executives to guide customers through technical evaluations, deliver high-impact demos and proofs of concept, and translate complex data challenges into clear business value—all while helping scale our Sales Engineering function at Monte Carlo.
What You’ll DoLead technical discovery, demos, and solution design for strategic accounts in partnership with sales
Deliver customer-facing presentations and Business Value Assessments that connect technical solutions to business outcomes
Partner cross-functionally to advocate for customer needs and create content that scales Sales Engineering impact
5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer supporting technical, enterprise-level products
Strong understanding of modern data ecosystems, including cloud data platforms, ETL workflows, BI tools, and SQL
Ability to explain complex technical architecture to both technical and executive audiences
Strong ownership mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and a collaborative, team-first approach
Experience working in early-stage or high-growth startup environments
