As a Strategist, you will work closely with senior leadership to identify emerging opportunities, assess competitive landscapes, and develop actionable strategies that influence the direction of our business.

What you’ll achieve 

As a Strategic Business Development Consultant, you will build a perspective for the Business Unit on market, customer, and industry trends that are fundamentally disrupting our business and the world. You will partner closely with the executives and technologists in the business to set the agenda on these topics, prioritize the most important topics to the business, and accelerate business outcomes. 

We are looking for strategic thinkers who connect the dots across markets and technologies, communicate with clarity and influence, and lead through collaboration. Ideal candidates are curious, agile learners with a passion for innovation and a strong drive for results in dynamic, cross-functional environments. 

You will 

  • Tackle complex, ambiguous business and technology challenges with structured thinking and creative problem-solving

  • Lead strategic research initiatives in emerging technologies such as AI/ML, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure

  • Translate market and competitive intelligence into actionable business strategies and operational plans

  • Develop business cases for new growth areas, including product innovation, partnerships, and M&A opportunities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, technologists, engineering, marketing, and finance teams to align strategic priorities

Essential Requirements 

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, product development, or business research within the technology sector

  • Deep understanding of enterprise technology domains such as infrastructure, software, data platforms, and AI/ML

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex information and communicate clearly to executive audiences

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

  • Demonstrated success in influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment

 
Desirable Requirements 

  • Advanced degrees in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Familiarity with enterprise IT ecosystems and emerging tech trends (e.g., edge computing, data security, cloud-native architecture)

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $168,300 - $217,800.
