Strategy Insights Director

Are you passionate about uncovering what drives consumer behavior, shaping impactful strategies, and leading innovative teams? We’re looking for an experienced and visionary strategy insights director to join us in transforming how brands connect with their audiences. In this role, you’ll be a key player in driving strategic initiatives, delivering meaningful insights, and helping our clients stay ahead in a constantly evolving media and retail landscape.

As a senior leader, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor talented teams, manage high-profile projects, and shape our company’s approach to consumer insights and analytics. Your expertise will guide strategic decisions that inspire client success and drive business growth, all while fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and implement a consumer insights strategy that aligns with organizational goals and drives actionable results.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to integrate consumer insights into product development, marketing, and advertising strategies that resonate with audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners to advance consumer insights as a core element of our strategic approach.
  • Provide thought leadership on advertising strategies, leveraging a deep understanding of the media landscape and its intersection with consumer behavior.
  • Oversee and execute advanced quantitative and qualitative research, translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Craft and present compelling narratives to influence senior leadership and client decision-making, ensuring insights are impactful and strategically aligned.
  • Apply retail and industry-specific insights to enhance consumer engagement, retention, and sales growth.
  • Lead the development of consumer personas, journeys, and insights to support media strategy creation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on trends, insights, and market dynamics, keeping clients and internal teams ahead of industry shifts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and innovations in analytics to ensure PMG leads in insights and strategy.
  • Mentor and inspire team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and professional growth.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years in digital marketing, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of people management experience, with strong skills in mentoring, training, and guiding team members to achieve their potential.
  • Expertise in consumer insights tools such as MRI-Simmons, Pathmatics, Meltwater, NetBase, YouGov, and GWI, with a passion for leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, enabling the interpretation of complex data and translation into actionable, strategic recommendations.
  • Advanced knowledge of the media advertising landscape and retail industry, connecting consumer insights to business growth opportunities.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication abilities, crafting compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders and inspire action.
  • Experience leading advanced quantitative and qualitative research, with a track record of turning findings into impactful strategies and media solutions.
  • Proficiency in developing consumer personas, journey mapping, and leveraging retail-specific insights to enhance engagement, retention, and sales.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Proven leadership in mentoring teams, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and professional growth.
