We are currently seeking a full-time Supervisor of Billing as part of our Accounting Team. As a member of the Accounting team, you will be responsible for the group’s recurring invoice workflow, assist with invoicing, and provide day-to-day support to the team. This also includes the timely and accurate creation of invoices, ensuring that all invoices have been sent to clients, and follow-up within the company or with clients as needed. This position will also supervise team members, manage the daily workflow, and create analyses to support audit requirements, monthly totals, and variances.

The Supervisor of Billing is expected to be a high-integrity performer who has a keen eye for detail and fosters a collaborative environment.

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team. At this time, we are not accepting applications from candidates residing in the following states: Delaware, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wyoming.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Supervise the team performing the monthly workflow for invoicing for Time & Materials and Cost-Plus contracts, including:
    • Coach junior members of the team.
    • Make sure deliverables are met.
    • Responsible for ensuring SOX controls were followed.
    • Create monthly and yearly analysis.
    • Correspond with vendors, clients, and Project requests.
  •  Assist the General Ledger Department with reconciliations, analysis, and audit requests.
  • Participate in the development of a new ERP system as a subject matter expert on behalf of the Billing department.
  • Triage and respond to incoming billing requests and escalate exceptions or unresolved disputes.
  • Support time movement/timing changes that affect invoicing.


Minimum Qualifications: (Quantifiable Skills i.e Years of experience) 

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in an Accounting or Finance-related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of Billing experience.
  • Minimum 1 Year of supervisory experience
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors. 
  • High attention to detail and excellent communication and organizational skills. 
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to work well with the team and independently.
  • Effectively provide change management where necessary.


The salary range for this role is $73,109 – $94,467/Annually with a target compensation of $80,000 - $84,000 based on experience and qualifications.


Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
