Qualifications

General Position Summary

The Supply Chain Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting supply chain data to support decision-making, process improvement initiatives, and driving operational efficiency. This includes developing and analyzing accurate demand forecasts to support supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement performance, and meeting customer service goals. The role will collaborate with sales, operations, and service teams to gather market intelligence, analyze historical data, and align forecasts with business objectives. The role will create and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to improve forecast accuracy, reduce inventory costs, enhance supplier performance, and improve product availability.



Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze supply chain data from ERP and other systems to develop and improve statistical demand forecasts, incorporating historical sales, market trends, and business intelligence in collaboration with the demand planning team

  • Participate in the monthly ESOP (Executive, Sales, & Operations Planning) process to align supply and demand plans.

  • Leverage ERP, forecasting software, and analytical tools to improve inventory availability while maintaining inventory turns.

  • Ensure that all reporting and analytical responsibilities are completed competently in a timely manner, continually seeking out opportunities to hone existing technical skills (e.g. writing SQL/code, statistics, machine learning, etc.) and learn new skills

  • Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in material supply, revenue forecasting, supplier performance, and cost management.

  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance data integrity and ensure timely availability of accurate information.

  • Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions and recommend data-driven solutions.

  • Translate complex datasets into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leads cross-functional process management activities.

 

 

 

Specific Job Requirements

  • Proficient in data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain processes.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and present operational data clearly to a variety of audiences.

  • Skilled in problem-solving and identifying process improvement opportunities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines operating independently.

 

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Analytics, Data Science, or STEM field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supply chain analytics, data analysis, materials planning, sourcing, or related field.

  • Advanced Excel skills: proficiency in SQL and/or Python preferred.

  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques; John Galt Atlas experience preferred.
