About Fluidstack

We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.

We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

How We Operate
  • Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.

  • Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.

  • First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.

  • Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.

The Supply Chain Team

Examples of key problems the team is working on

  • Supply 10GW of compute, the largest build out of compute in history. Qualify and dual-source across every critical equipment category, with lead-time and capacity thresholds tied directly to the forward build pipeline.

  • Make supply chain the reason we build faster than anyone. Our modular build redefines speed in this industry, and it lives or dies on supply chain. Keep procurement permanently off the critical path so schedule compression stays our advantage, not our constraint.

  • Build the most accurate supply chain prediction modelling that exists. Use the frontier of AI to forecast lead times, demand, and disruption with a precision the industry has never had, and turn that foresight into a structural edge.

Role Scope
  • Own end-to-end tracking of hardware purchase orders across data center MEP and infrastructure compute, storage, and networking, from PO issuance through delivery confirmation and inventory receipt.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with hardware vendors and logistics partners, managing cadences around lead times, shipment status, and exception handling.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and tracking tools that give infrastructure and finance teams real-time visibility into what's on order, in transit, and at risk.

  • Automate recurring data-gathering (vendor capacity pulls, lead-time updates, ETA aggregation) to cut manual overhead and sharpen signal.

  • Coordinate inbound logistics with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and receiving teams, integrating with WMS and TMS.

  • Identify procurement risks early (supply constraints, allocation shortfalls, shipping delays) and escalate with context and options, and support new-vendor onboarding and demand forecasting.

What We're Looking For

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.

  • You've coordinated procurement, supply chain, or logistics in a fast-moving environment, and you want to go deep on data center hardware.

  • You know the hardware: you understand what a transformer is, where to buy chillers, and why InfiniBand switch lead times matter.

  • You build tooling and automation to replace manual data-gathering (spreadsheets, plus Zapier, Airtable, or AI tools), rather than just doing the busywork.

  • You write clearly: a vendor escalation and a status summary that both land.

  • You operate in ambiguity where the process is still being built.

  • Bonus: Hardware procurement at a hyperscaler, neocloud, semiconductor, or hardware-forward company. ERP/procurement platforms (SAP, Coupa, NetSuite). International freight (Incoterms, customs). CSCP or CPSM coursework.

Salary and Benefits

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings. Our compensation package includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Our cash compensation range for this role is $90,000-$150,000. Final offers vary based on geography, candidate experience, relevant credentials, and other factors. Outstanding candidates may be eligible for adjusted terms plus meaningful equity.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

What you need to know about the Austin Tech Scene

Austin has a diverse and thriving tech ecosystem thanks to home-grown companies like Dell and major campuses for IBM, AMD and Apple. The state’s flagship university, the University of Texas at Austin, is known for its engineering school, and the city is known for its annual South by Southwest tech and media conference. Austin’s tech scene spans many verticals, but it’s particularly known for hardware, including semiconductors, as well as AI, biotechnology and cloud computing. And its food and music scene, low taxes and favorable climate has made the city a destination for tech workers from across the country.

Key Facts About Austin Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 180,500; 13.7% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Dell, IBM, AMD, Apple, Alphabet
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, hardware, cloud computing, software, healthtech
  • Funding Landscape: $4.5 billion in VC funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Live Oak Ventures, Austin Ventures, Hinge Capital, Gigafund, KdT Ventures, Next Coast Ventures, Silverton Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Texas, Southwestern University, Texas State University, Center for Complex Quantum Systems, Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, Texas Advanced Computing Center
