About the job

Own supplier quality from factory-floor controls to Graphcore’s next AI hardware production ramp-up.

Based in Hsinchu or Taipei, Taiwan, you’ll manage assigned suppliers from qualification through sustained quality improvement of server-grade components. Your work will help new products reach manufacturing with risks understood, processes controlled and components that consistently meet specifications.

On supplier sites, you’ll assess manufacturing capability, traceability and change control, then turn audit findings into actions that prevent defects. When issues arise, you’ll drive containment, root-cause analysis and corrective action, verifying that fixes work before you close them.

You’ll build technical depth across server-grade components and modules, understanding their manufacturing processes, failure modes and reliability risks. Expect work that connects hands-on factory investigation with the bigger challenge of building a dependable supply chain for AI compute.

The team and culture

You’ll join Quality within Manufacturing Operations, working with colleagues in Bristol, Cambridge and Hsinchu. Their expertise spans customer, supply chain and product quality, giving you perspectives beyond your assigned commodities.

You’ll work directly with engineering, sourcing, operations and suppliers, using quality data and manufacturing evidence to agree practical actions. Set priorities independently, speak up early about material risks and keep actions visible so suppliers stay accountable.

What we’re looking for
  • An engineering degree or equivalent practical background, with hands-on supplier quality, supplier development, manufacturing quality or process engineering experience.
  • Technical understanding of at least one server-grade component or module category, and the ability to learn additional commodities.
  • Ability to lead supplier audits independently, evaluate manufacturing risks and drive cross-functional actions to closure.
  • Practical knowledge of supplier qualification, process controls, PFMEA, control plans, SPC and structured problem-solving using 8D or 5 Why.
  • Clear English reporting, effective supplier-facing communication and stakeholder management, with sound judgement about when to escalate.
  • Willingness to travel within Taiwan and internationally for supplier audits, qualifications, issue resolution and new product introduction.

While we have outlined a set of requirements, we value transferable skills and diverse experiences. We also welcome engineers returning to the profession after a career break, including through returnship routes.
