The Tidal Financial Group is a leading ETF investment technology platform dedicated to creating, operating, and growing ETFs. We combine expertise and innovative partnership approaches to offer comprehensive, value-generating ETF solutions. Our platform offers best-in-class strategic guidance, product planning, trust and fund services, legal support, operations support, marketing and research, and sales and distribution services.

About the role

Tidal provides everything needed to launch, operate, and successfully scale an ETF. The SVP of Marketing leads the firm's entire marketing function — covering both Tidal's own brand and the client-facing marketing our issuers depend on to bring their ETFs to market.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who can set the marketing strategy, build the processes and structure that bring that strategy to life, and guide a talented team in executing against it at a consistently high level. You will own both fronts — Tidal's brand and market position, and the marketing services our clients rely on — setting the vision, raising the bar on quality, and building a marketing organization that scales with the business. The role works in close partnership with business development, product, and executive leadership to ensure marketing translates directly into growth for Tidal and for our clients.

What you'll do

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Set the overall marketing strategy for Tidal, aligned to the firm's growth objectives and to the needs of the clients we serve.
  • Lead the full marketing function — spanning brand, content, digital and web, events, PR and communications, design, research, SEO, and industry partnerships.
  • Serve as both strategist and player-coach: set clear direction, then help the team execute against it.
  • Develop, mentor, and elevate the marketing team, raising the bar for quality, clarity, and impact across every discipline.

Tidal Brand

  • Define and steward Tidal's brand vision, positioning, and narrative — anchored in real, provable client value.
  • Build first-consideration status for Tidal across the ETF ecosystem, including issuers, partners, media, and influencers.
  • Establish Tidal as the most trusted, authoritative voice in white-label ETFs.
  • Ensure every touchpoint — from the website and pitch decks to Tidal's industry presence — reinforces authority, credibility, and differentiation.

Client Marketing

  • Own the marketing Tidal delivers on behalf of its issuer clients, including ETF websites, marketing collateral, launch campaigns, and ongoing communications.
  • Build a scalable, repeatable model for delivering client marketing that is both high in quality and efficient to produce.
  • Partner with clients to help their ETFs build visibility, attract assets, and stand out in a competitive market.

Process, Metrics & Operations

  • Build and continuously improve the processes, standards, and operating rhythms that allow the team to deliver high-quality work at scale and speed.
  • Establish clear workflows and quality controls across the team's output — from client websites and pitch decks to content, campaigns, and events.
  • Bring modern marketing discipline, tooling, and measurement to how the team plans, prioritizes, and executes.
  • Establish clear metrics for both Tidal marketing and client marketing, tracking demand creation, client growth, and return on marketing investment.
  • Provide regular reporting on marketing performance and contribute marketing's view of pipeline and growth to commercial reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with business development, product, strategy, and executive leadership to deliver cohesive, high-impact marketing.
  • Drive demand-generation programs that produce qualified interest for the business development team, and ensure a clean handoff into their pipeline.
  • Bring fresh perspective, modern marketing thinking, and strong judgment to a fast-growing, high-expectation business.

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years building and scaling B2B marketing in competitive, high-value markets. Direct ETF, asset management, or financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading a full marketing function — not just a single discipline — across areas such as brand, content, digital, events, and communications.
  • A track record of building process, structure, and operating discipline into a marketing team.
  • A confident, motivating people leader who can develop talent and inspire a team.
  • Deep B2B marketing expertise (non-negotiable).
  • The ability to create distinction, trust, and relevance in complex or regulated categories.
  • Equally comfortable setting strategy and getting hands-on.
  • A commercial, creative, and strategic thinker who executes with discipline.
  • A high bar for quality, clarity, and impact.

Who You Are

  • You'd rather build a function than inherit one.
  • You're equally comfortable shaping a brand narrative and reviewing marketing performance with the executive team.
  • You believe good process creates better execution, and you enjoy building systems that help a team perform consistently.
  • You move naturally between strategy and hands-on execution without losing momentum.
  • You hold a high bar for craft and expect the same from the team you lead.

Why Tidal

Tidal is one of the fastest-growing ETF platforms in the industry, working with many of its leading sponsors. As SVP of Marketing, you'll lead the function that shapes how the market sees Tidal and helps our clients bring their ETFs to market successfully.

Our platform succeeds when our clients succeed. This role builds both a defining brand for Tidal and the client marketing that helps issuers raise assets and grow their businesses — while establishing the structure and processes that will scale marketing for years to come. If you want to lead a high-performing marketing organization and leave a lasting mark on one of the fastest-growing areas of financial services, this is the seat to do it from.
