Job DescriptionSOSi is seeking an Intermediate Systems Engineer to support production operations, software deployments, and enterprise application sustainment for a large federal information system.
The Intermediate Systems Engineer will support day-to-day production operations, software releases, system administration, configuration management, and operational troubleshooting activities.
Responsibilities
- Support production operations.
- Assist with software deployments and release activities.
- Monitor production environments and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Support configuration management and documentation.
- Coordinate with software engineers and customer stakeholders to resolve production issues.
- Support testing and implementation activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years supporting enterprise IT systems.
- Experience supporting production environments.
- Experience supporting software implementation activities.
- Technical skills in IBM z/OS, JCL, Oracle, Cognos, Broadcom Endevor, Configuration Management
Preferred:
- COBOL
- IDMS
- Enterprise financial systems
- ERP or payroll applications
Work Environment
- Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations
- Remote or Hybrid work model
- Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.
- May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs
