About Doodle Labs

Doodle Labs builds the connectivity backbone of the autonomous systems revolution- resilient wireless mesh networks that let drones, robots, and unmanned platforms operate reliably in the world's most demanding environments. We sit at the intersection of defense, robotics, and next-generation autonomy, powering the machines that are changing how militaries, first responders, and industries operate in the field. Our core purpose is simple: connect anyone and anything, at any time, in any place.

For over 25 years, our team has been at the forefront of mesh networking, partnering with leading defense programs, robotics manufacturers, and system integrators worldwide. The work here doesn't sit in a slide deck- it ends up in the field, in the hands of people for whom failure isn't an option.

About the Role

We're hiring a Talent & People Partner based in Austin. This is a generalist seat with a recruiting lean. You'll split your time between building out HR programs that scale with the company, running full-cycle hiring for a range of roles, and helping leadership think clearly about headcount and workforce planning. You'll work directly with the Head of HR and Talent Acquisitions to shape how Doodle Labs attracts, develops, and retains talent as we grow.

In this role, you'll be a strategic partner to hiring managers and leadership, owning the full recruiting lifecycle for critical positions across technical, commercial, and operational functions. You'll also build and manage HR programs that improve how we onboard, develop, and engage our team --- and help define what it means to work at Doodle Labs.

What You'll Do

  • Run full-cycle recruiting for global-based roles across technical, commercial, and operational functions
  • Partner with hiring managers on intake, sourcing strategy, interview design, and offer structuring
  • Build and manage HR programs including onboarding, performance cycles, and employee experience initiatives
  • Support headcount planning alongside leadership- tracking open roles, forecasting needs, and keeping hiring aligned with business priorities
  • Help shape Doodle Labs' employer brand and how we show up to candidates in the Austin market and beyond
  • Support the broader People team on cross-functional projects as the company scales

What Success Looks Like

  • Strong recruiting outcomes with consistent hiring velocity across critical technical, commercial, and operational functions
  • Trusted partnerships with hiring managers built on clear communication and aligned interview design
  • Scalable HR programs that improve employee onboarding, engagement, and performance outcomes
  • Clear headcount visibility and workforce planning that keeps hiring aligned with business strategy
  • Employer brand that attracts strong talent to Austin and supports recruitment across regions
  • Collaborative support to the broader People team on scaling HR functions and programs

Who You Are

  • 4–7 years in HR, recruiting, or a blended people ops role- ideally in a scaling tech or hardware company
  • Comfortable owning the full recruiting lifecycle without heavy process infrastructure
  • Strong communicator- you'll work closely with hiring managers and candidates, and the quality of those relationships matters
  • Naturally curious about people, motivated to understand what drives candidates and employees
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple recruiting pipelines and HR initiatives simultaneously
  • Strategic thinker who can translate business needs into recruiting and HR strategy
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and building processes in a fast-growing, scaling environment
  • Excited by autonomy, robotics, and building teams that do serious technical work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a global or multi-site workforce
  • Background recruiting for technical or engineering-focused roles
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting analytics
  • Familiarity with HR best practices around performance management, compensation, and employee development
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

Why Join Doodle Labs

  • Build the team behind cutting-edge technology powering the future of autonomous systems
  • Shape Doodle Labs' culture and employer brand as we scale from a close-knit team to an industry leader
  • Work alongside engineers and innovators solving real problems in defense, robotics, and autonomy
  • Direct impact on the company's growth --- your hiring decisions and HR initiatives matter strategically
  • High-ownership, high-trust environment where your work is visible and your voice is heard
