About the Firm
Our client is a well-established wealth management firm with a robust in-house tax practice, built through the acquisition of a large CPA firm and supported by its sister company. The firm is growing and looking to add a Tax Senior who thrives on high-volume return work and is ready to grow into a leadership role.
About the Role
This is a fully remote Tax Senior position supporting a transition of an existing book of business — roughly 150–200 returns annually, with a strong emphasis on business returns and 1040 work. You'll work alongside a collaborative team and have a realistic path to Manager within one to two years for the right performer.
The ideal candidate is a focused, efficient tax preparer who takes pride in accuracy and throughput — someone who genuinely enjoys digging into returns and getting them done well.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare a high volume of business and individual tax returns (150–200 annually), with a primary focus on business entities.
Work closely with team members to support a structured client transition and ensure continuity of service.
Maintain accuracy and efficiency across a diverse return mix under seasonal deadlines.
Contribute to team knowledge and, over time, take on mentorship responsibilities as you grow toward a Manager role.
Stay current on relevant tax law changes and apply them proactively across your book of work.
Requirements
2+ years of public accounting tax experience.
Strong business return preparation skills required; 1040 experience a plus.
Proficiency in CCH Axcess preferred.
CPA or EA preferred
Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
Must be located in the Eastern or Central time zone.
Benefits
Base compensation: $75,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
Bonus: Performance bonus paid in June, based on individual and firm experience.
