Job Description: 

The Administrative Assistant (AA) serves as a professional assistant to Rhymetec’s Chief Information Security Officer. The AA  must demonstrate the ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary and seeking assistance when appropriate. The AA identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, maintains confidentiality, and anticipates the needs of the CISO and the Security team. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the cybersecurity industry and support Rhymetec’s security department directly, by supporting the needs of Rhymetec’s CISO.

Responsibilities: 

  • Travel: Handles travel arrangements for the CISO as requested. This may be both personal or professional related travel.
  • Calendar management: Manages calendar system and seeks opportunities to enhance efficiencies. Makes last minute calendaring decisions based on priority and business needs using sound judgment. Advises of last-minute scheduling changes and communicates changes as appropriate.
  • Email Management: Monitors, prioritizes and communicates with CISO on top priorities, responds as necessary. 
  • Meeting planning: Schedules and organizes internal and external meetings, including any necessary logistics as requested by the CISO.
  • Staff Support: Attends staff meetings to record minutes, track takeaways, follow and up on action items.
  • Special projects/programs as directed from CISO or senior leadership.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, information technology or related field. (Associates degree with 5 years experience will be considered).
  • Minimum of 2 years in an administrative or executive support role.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skill to handle sensitive and confidential situations as well as communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High energy with the ability to keep up with a fast-paced working environment.
  • Experience with supporting a virtual workforce.
  • Travel may be required to off-sites as needed to support senior leadership. Candidates can expect no more than quarterly travel.
