Technical Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document detailed business requirements for analytics projects, including data definitions, reporting needs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments, including interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and challenges.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, concise, and testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to define data models, data pipelines, and analytical methodologies.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, and system design documents.
  • Participate in agile development sprints, providing ongoing support and clarification to the development team.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define and execute testing plans.
  • Ensure that delivered solutions meet the defined business requirements and quality standards.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Prepare and present data-driven reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of analytics solutions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data analytics, data warehousing, and business intelligence technologies.
  • Research and evaluate new tools and technologies that can enhance the company's data capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on analytics and data-related projects.

Technical Skills: 

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Experience on Google Analytics and Segment.
  • Familiarity with SQL and other data query languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with data governance and data quality best practices (preferred).

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 40,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 140,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
This position is available for independent contractors
