About the Role
FoodChain ID is seeking a Technical Evaluator to join our Organic Certifiers team. In this role, you’ll take on advanced technical reviews and client support responsibilities with a high level of independence. You’ll play a key part in interpreting complex regulatory requirements, supporting certification processes, and contributing to continuous improvement across our programs.

What You’ll Do
  • Review applications, organic system plans, and supporting documentation for new and renewing clients
  • Analyze materials from clients, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Communicate findings to clients, including noncompliances, regulatory clarifications, and resolution of outstanding issues
  • Conduct desk audits and technical reviews, issuing findings and ensuring accurate documentation and recordkeeping
  • Review and approve site additions, inputs, product formulations, and labeling for compliance
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and contribute to process improvements and business development initiatives
What You Bring
  • 2–4 years of experience in certification, regulatory compliance, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of USDA organic standards and certification processes
  • Ability to independently manage complex files and priorities
  • Knowledge of organic production or handling practices, supported by education or professional experience in agriculture, science, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the year
