What You'll Get To Do In This Role
Own the dedicated industry research and competitive landscape analysis necessary to enhance the team's ability to tailor solutions and messaging to key markets. The expected outcomes of this internship include:
- Industry Research Reports: Deliver reports on cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulatory landscapes for target industries (e.g., Aviation and Transportation, Finance, Healthcare, Retail, etc.), identifying key challenges and opportunities.
- Cloudflare Offering-to-Industry Mapping: Create comprehensive mapping documents that align Cloudflare's current and potential product capabilities with the specific cybersecurity needs and pain points of the researched industries. This will include identifying gaps and areas for new solution development.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct an analysis of niche competitors focused on the researched industries, highlighting their strengths, weaknesses, and how Cloudflare's offerings compare.
- Improved Sales Enablement: Contribute to the creation of industry-specific CxO level playbooks, presentations, and battlecards enabling more informed and targeted customer engagements for the Field CXO team.
- Executive Briefing Support: Assist in the preparation of research summaries and presentation materials for executive-level customer engagements, demonstrating Cloudflare's understanding of industry-specific challenges and its ability to provide relevant solutions.
- Thought Leadership Contributions: Contribute research findings and insights to internal knowledge bases, and potentially assist in drafting external-facing content (e.g., blog posts, whitepapers) that positions Cloudflare as a thought leader in verticalized cybersecurity.
- Presentation to Leadership: Present findings and recommendations to the Field CxO team and relevant stakeholders, demonstrating the business impact and learning value derived from the internship.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an Undergrad BA/BS or Masters MA/MS (MBA not required).
- Available for a full-time 12-week internship, working from our Lisbon office 3-5 days a week during the summer (May-Aug).
- Experience or strong interest in conducting in-depth market research and competitive analysis.
- Ability to own a high-impact project end-to-end and deliver portfolio-ready results.
- Excellent written and presentation skills. This role demands someone who is gifted in their ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including executives, sales, and marketing.
- Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative cloud services company.
